Since 1967, the West Jefferson Education Association has represented the teachers of Jefferson Local Schools. There are currently more than 80 active members of the association.

The WJEA’s responsibilities include:

Collective bargaining;
Enforcement of the collective bargaining agreement;
The mediation of conflicts between bargaining unit members and the administration;
Providing counsel and advice to any bargaining unit member in need.

The WJEA’s Executive Committee meets monthly. All WJEA members are welcome to attend.
